SUICIDE


Deuteronomy 30:19-20  This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses.
Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him.  For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Iasaac and Jacob.

Warning signs of suicide may include:

withdrawal from friends and family
trouble in relationships
changes in school work, or career work
unusual gift giving or giving away of possessions
boredom, distraction, depression
preoccupation with death
change in eating habits
dramatic personality changes and/or appearance
sleep disturbances
drug or alcohol abuse
talk of suicide
history of previous suicide attempts

Fact:  Suicide is the THIRD leading cause of death in people ages 15-24.
1500 people attempt suicide a day.  One million worldwide follow through. (all ages)
30,000 of them live in the United States.
